A brief history of Edwin Gerace Edwin was born in New York, New York. Yes that technically classifies him a Yankee. His mother Jennie a West Virginia native and his father a New York native had only one others son four years latter, he was Benjamin. Edwin moved to Johnson City, Tennessee to begin his life. He went to elementary school at the University School, High school was Science Hill High School in Johnson City. While school he was very involved with the Annual, Tennis Team, church activities and much more. After graduating from high school he went to college at the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio. While attending there he worked in the computer learning center, and Conference Services Department. He was very involved in the college. He was involved with the Campus Radio Station, Student Government, Resident Life Activities, Campus Church Activities, College Admissions Department, and Varsity Tennis Team. His activities on campus were the spoke person for the Dormitory, organizing campus activities, and lastly recruiting a touring of prospective students. After his college became a Restaurant Management. He work for a short stretch for Frisch's Big Boy in Cincinnati, there he was managing a Training store and helping with the management training. Then he was recruited to work for O'Charley's restaurant. For many years he was there, and held many titles as Dining Room Manager to Assistant Front House Manager. Then 3 years latter he was asked to move to Greenville, South Carolina where his late Grandmother Gannon lived. He decided to be close to her and so he did. While at the O'Charley's in Greenville he held all titles, he was the Dining Room Manager, Assistant General Manager, Bar Manager, and then General Manager. Edwin then thought he needed to be in a career that matched his personality. His late grandmother was a realtor and his aunt was a realtor. So he began his career as a realtor where his grandmother began hers years before; Greenville, South Carolina. He started his new career with Century 21 in Mauldin, South Carolina. While working and learning he met a wonderful lady name Allyson Smith. This relationship grew with great success. Allyson was from Columbia. So after over a year of driving back and forth they both decided that they needed to be a little closer together. So Edwin packed up his real estate experiences and moved to Columbia. Edwin began his real estate career with Century 21 in Columbia. after over a year he moved his license to Russell and Jeffcoat Realtors. On October 7th, 2000 Edwin and Allyson got married. Currently Edwin has been very active in community projects. He has been the Community Service Chairman of the Board of Realtors. He is a member of the Circle of Excellence which is the highest award in the area. His career has taken off with great success. He is very active in the Local Lexington Chamber. The largest news of all that Allyson and Edwin have a new baby girl Sophia Elaine Gerace born Aug 13th. 2002 . In 2003 his activities included Lexing Fun Fest Committee, Leadership Lexington County Allumni,Taste of Lexington Logistic Committe, Education Committee for the chamber and Vice Chairman of Teacher Recuritment fair, Member of the Town Advisory Committee, Leadership Lexington County Board Member, Lexington Chamber of Commerce Ambassador(2002-2004, Leadersihp Lexington County Search Committee and that was enough with a new baby girl.
